Employment Programme for Physically Challenged
The skills and training that visually impaired and other physically challenged people have often go to waste because they don't get employed. Other people tend to focus on what they can't do, and forget about what they can do. The government needs to take a more active role in ensuring that physically challenged people have access to the employment they're looking for. We need special, dedicated placement programmes that allow the physically challenged to work and demonstrate their competency, especially in early childhood institutions and other institutions in their own communities, so that others can be exposed to what they are capable of.
